The Olympic Valley Half Marathon, 8 Miler, and 5K start and finish at the iconic Village At Palisades Tahoe, the site of the historic 1960 Winter Olympics. The courses are relatively fast and flat, offering a scenic out-and-back route mainly along paved trails through the valley and along the Truckee River. During the run, keep an eye out for bald eagles, mule deer, and trout leaping out of the river, all while enjoying the cool, refreshing Sierra air. You’ll be supported by plenty of aid stations along the course, stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, and a variety of fruit and snacks. This is one event you won’t want to miss and is definitely a Bucket List Half Marathon, 8 Miler, and 5K.
